Cpt. Blake Shidler
I’m Capt Blake Shidler. I was born in raised in Crystal River, Florida and I have lived here my entire life. I have grown up fishing both the inshore and offshore waters of Crystal River and the Florida Keys. I started fishing inshore with my brother at a young age before going to offshore fishing running a commercial fishing boat. The water has been a huge part of my life and couldn’t think of doing anything else as a career. Hunting waterfowl is another passion of mine and I spend the month of January hunting ducks and guiding waterfowl hunts on the coast around Crystal River and in the freshwater marshes of central Florida.
